Our Environmental Policy and Practice

What are we Doing to Help the Environment? At The Spiritual Inspiration Shop and our home as that is where our business is based we are very concerned about environmental issues. We are only a small company and cannot afford the substantial fees required to become registered as Carbon Neutral yet, but feel we'd like to let you know what we are doing to help the environment.We always use recycled paper for all our general printing and copying.Our electricity is sourced from 100% Renewable Sources such as Wind Farms.We pay for a tree to be planted each month. This more than neutralizes the emissions produced by our business and home.We recycle packaging as much as possible, and obtain a lot of packaging materials from local shops/supermarkets who would otherwise be discarding bubble wrap, etc that their stock is received in.We try to buy from the UK rather than increase air mileage by importing, although this is not always possible due to the unavailablility in the UK of some of the products we offer.At our home and Business:- We grow much of our own fruit and Vegetables We are Vegetarian and support Animal Cruelty Prevention Charities We use Energy Saver bulbs wherever possible. We only use Non toxic cleaning products making many of them ourselves.We use locally sourced,Organic food and Personal Care products whenever possible. We make full use of the local recycling facilities, recycling clothes, glass, green waste and much more.We have both a water butt and a composter in our garden and recycle water from the house as much as possible.We have fully researched Green Issues and produced a pack of Eco - Inspiration Cards designed to help spread the word.We support Charities and Green Groups whenever we have time in whatever way we can, even if its only by sending emails to politicians.We have just added a great range of Organic T-Shirts to our clothing store.We offer links to many worthwhile charities and some Organic and Natural Personal Care ProductsMore coming soon
