INTUITION

The dictionary definition of Intuition isĀ an: "Immediate Unreasoned Perception"

I could also describe it as:

Knowingness, Clairvoyance, Psychic Ability, Common sense, Guardian Angel, Spirit guide, Higher self, Wisdom and a Collective Unconscious.

Intuition can come in several forms:

1) A sudden flash of insight - visual/auditory

2) A predictive dream

3) A Spinal shiver of recognition

4) A sense of knowing something already

5) A sense of Deja Vu

6) A snapshot image of a scene/event

7) Knowledge or perspective or an understanding divined from tools that respond to the succonscious mind.

Intuition can be described as having a trusted friend, one who is always at your shoulder, and can tell you exactly how to deal with every situation that comes at you. It can help you make decisions even when the most obvious, safe and logical choice may not be the best one.

INTUITIVE EXPERIENCES

I believe we are all born with a degree of skill or ability, but according to our childhood experience we either develop this further or lose it.

Experiences include:

1) Having a sense of being able to fly at night

2) Having regular friends or enemies in your dreams

3) Being aware of things out of the corner of your eye, such as shadows or movements or colours

4) Believing strongly in the existance of Faries, ghosts, angels and other spiritual beings

5) Being able to sense atmospheres or energies, and see supernatural beings

6) Being able to detect emotions and intentions in other people

7) Hearing dis-embodied voices

8) Automatically liking or disliking somebody without knowing why

9) Having a sense of otherness about you, that aspects of yourself are missing or elsewhere

10) Having a feeling of bonding with another time/place from where you lived as a child, or live now.

CLAIRVOYANCE

Is the abilty to "see" knowledge, or being able to see clearly what to do, think, feel or say next.

This ability is linked to the "Third Eye" Chakra and can come in several ways:

1) Sometimes we can actually see a picture in our imagination, it can arrive clearly and of its own accord

2) Experiences can be seen as a short movie on the screen of our "minds eye"

3) Can be events in the future, but you can experience them as if they are happening now

4) Sometimes, you feel, and even smell, taste, hear these insights

5) Sometimes the image can be fleeting and indistinct, it can be easily over-looked by people not experienced in this form of communication.

CLAIRAUDIENCE

Comes with the ability to communicate clearly, if you can express yourself honastly and openly, then you can also "hear" openly and honestly.

This requires practice and control, we all have "inner voices" which can seem to be clairaudience but are not.

It requires you to hush the chatter in your mind and LISTEN, meditation is great for stilling and calming the mind.

RESEARCH HAS SHOWN

Researcher "Herrman" was able to sub-divide the upper and mid regions of the brain into 4 areas associated with with specific functions:

UPPER LEFT- (Cerebral Cortex)

Includes the scientific approach, mathmatical and logical procedural thinking styles, problem solving on a step by step basis, Linear thinking.

LOWER LEFT - (Limbic system)

The planner and organiser role that controls approaches to life and living.

UPPER RIGHT - (Cerebral Cortex)

Capable of seeing the whole picture, intuitive and artistic, endlessly creative and Innovative.

LOWER RIGHT - (Limbic system)

The emotional brain, responds to people, music and creative stimuli, the talker and interpersonal brain.

BREATHING EXERCISE

1) Allow yourself 5 minutes to settle and relax, begin by placing a finger at the side of one nostrilĀ and pressing gently to close it.. Breathe in, then quickly change fingers to close the 1st nostril and breathe out through the other one.

2) Then breathe in from the same side and change back to the 1st side to breathe out. By breaking each cycle into 2 halves and alternating the inhalation and exhalation side you access each side of the brain equally and in harmony.

3)To completly access the right side of your brain, lie on your right side for 5 - 10 minutes and you will find that your left nostril becomes clearer and becomes the dominant breathing nostril.

Sleeping on your right side can induce more intuitive breathing cycles and dreams.
